My daughter and I have donated our hair every year for almost 10 yrs now.

For her senior class project, she got 45 girls in the school to grow their hair long and then donate as well.

It would take me forever to grow my hair long enough to donate.
But I did shave my head in support when my daycare provider's son lost his hair to chemo to treat his ALL. He was about 3-4 yrs old at the time.
I have a pic of the two of us with no hair, my sister said we were "Grasshopper and Ganhdi"
BTW he had a relaspe after 3 yrs and another round of treatment, he is about 13 now and doing well.
LOCKS ROCKS

I cut my hair off today so I could donate to locks for love :)
I'm excited. I felt like posting about it

Thats awesome! A very worthwhile cause. I have been asked to do that as I have long straight healthy hair that is roughly about 20 inches. Locks of Love would kill for it but Im not done. laugh

my hair grows so damn fast that I do this every year. Get it cut to should length and then regrow it the rest of the year. Then donate again.
