I cut my hair off today so I could donate to locks for love :) I'm excited. I felt like posting about it

CONGRATS!! Isn't it a great feeling? I donated 22 inches about two years ago and I am growing it out again so I can do it again!!

Congrats on your act of selflessness! I've done that too in the past and even got to meet the girl that received my hair for her wig after radiation. Such a small thing that can mean so much to someone else!

What is Locks for love? I never heard of it. its for people that have cancer and they use the hair for wigs my oldest nephew did that one yr.

I have 3 ponytails I've cut off. where do we send them?? If you google locks for love they have a website with guidelines and instructions. :)

What is Locks for love? I never heard of it. Locks of Love is an organization that accepts donations of ponytails more than 10 inches long, to make wigs for cancer patients. The young lady who started it was only about 12 when she asked her Mom what she could do to help young cancer patients feel better about themselves.

I have done this twice.....it is agreat cause. Someone told me about them several yrs ago,I went and met some of the kids and was so touched I went home and chopped off my hair. 14 inches the first time. 16 inches last Janruary. You have done an awesome thing!!!!

Good for you sweetheart !!!! My youngest daughter who is now 10 was in kindergarten and one day said to me she wanted to do that... She donated 22 inches..... I dont know you .. but Im proud of you!!!!!

Thanks everyone :) I'm glad to hear so many other people have helped as well.. I'm not used to having my hair so short. I only barely had enough hair to donate, just over 10 inches. But I can grow mine back, a lot of poor kids out there can't so I hope it helps somebody, even just a little bit.
