Dear Diary,
I'm sorry I am not able to reciprocate in the deeper friendship that some of the males have extended to me on this site. It is no reflection on them; and I feel like a terrible person to be so self-absorbed in my own patterns that I am not able, in this moment, to make positive change in my life. I'm grateful that they are still there for me, even though I become reclusive and elusive. It simply is that I am afraid. ....Afraid to be enveloped in genuine affection and caring when it doesn't feel "familiar" to me. I know what is familiar to me is not what I need, what will fulfill me. It is simply because it "feels safer" when it is actually more dangerous or unhealthy for me by tenfold. So, to my male supports here and elsewhere, I gratefully say, "Thank you" and "I'm sorry".
