I am very conservative with who I become a lover with so if that ends it is usally because a very good reason so not many I would have any interest in being freinds with.

I don't think you can. Atleast it hasn't happened for me as of yet. Not sure I would want it that way though. If things end, most likely its for a really good reason, and I don't think I would want to continue on communicating with that person.

But sometimes you find out that you don't really have enough in comon to put up with each other on a full time basis as lovers/mates, but as friends, you get along great. No reason to toss a great friend just because ya didn't make it as mates.
