I sound like Scrooge, but I am just not in the mood this year for the holidays. Still dealing with dad's death last month, lots of stress from other things, I just want it all over.

I am SOOOOOO ready for the new year to begin, it has to be better than this year has been.

Thanks Hawk, but you would probably regret it, I spent most of the day in a meltdown off and on at work. I looked at the picture of my dad on the wall and that was all it took. Only work 1/2 a day tomorrow, trying to find things to keep me busy. I don't even have work for my 2nd job until next Monday, so guess I will be rambling around the house.

It's been that kinda year...I know what you mean. I ususally like this time of the year but with everything in upheavel it just adds to the craziness.

I say the same thing...next year will be a better one.

These past few years have sucked. My mom died 01/02/06, my middle brother 06/11/07, my favorite aunt 02/17/08, and then dad 11/10/08. And my grandpa, my favorite person in the world also died on 01/01/84, so this time of the year just sucks.

I am in complete agreement with you this year. I can't wait for the holidays to be over. I am not going through anything compared to those of you who have experienced the loss of a loved one. And for those of you that have I am truly sorry for your loss.

I know that whatever stress you have in your life is multiplied during the holiday season. We are undergoing a major restructuring at work and some are going to lose their jobs, while others are going to get promoted into spots that are traditionally held by those who are being ousted. It has created a very stressful work environment. Add to that the terrible economic situation and not being able to get my kids what I feel they deserve for Christmas and I am a complete basket case this year.

What is really weird is that I am in a new relationship and I feel even more alone now than I did all those years that I didn't have a boyfriend. WTF is up with that?
