This evening I was walking home from getting groceries, and I missed the bus. This nice old lady I didn't even know offered to drive me home.
Something that reaffirms what little faith in humanity that I have left.

Yep its rare, but there are still nice people out there. My car was in the shop a few months back and a couple people offered to take me to the store to get anything I needed for my son. It was people on a yahoo group I belong to, they didn't know me and certainly didn't have to care.
