On the eighth of this month, I posted the following:
Topic: Anger..... I know that when we get angry, we shouldn't harbor it.... (Ephesians 4:26 Be ye angry, and sin not: let not the sun go down upon your wrath:...) But sometimes it takes awhile to let go of anger.... My anger was directed to two Nurses at the Nursing Home where My Wife, Linda is residing...(Didn't involve Linda though.) One of them was pretending to give a Patient her pain Medication, then keeping it...(Stealing it.) It's not clear at this point whether she was taking it for herself, or for someone else, or to sell.... Hydrocodone- easily sells on the street for $10-$12 each tablet to addicts.) She is being charged with abuse of the elderly by witholding Medication/Endangerment of the elderly. The second one poured after-shave lotion on a Male Patient's Genitals, causing him excruciating pain..!!! She is being charged with Endangerment/Torture of the elderly. Mississippi State Attorney Jim Hood said this WILL NOT be tolerated and is seeking the maxomum penalty (20 years without parole) in each case.... There is NO reason for these type of actions... Well, TWO MORE Nurses there have been fired and will be indicted by the next sitting Grand Jury on charges of abuse of the elderly by witholding Medication/Endangerment of the elderly.   WTF's wrong with these people..?  |

Wonder how they would feel if it were their loved one being abused and mistreated? But then again, people like this have NO feelings. Sorry to hear this is happening in your town, but it happens everywhere. Good luck with your wife & I hope you do most of the care taking for her.
