Just watched a recent release to DVD called "Deception" with Hugh Jackman.
Had some twisty twists at the end. Good Movie. |

It's an older movie, I think it's called Four Rooms. I just remember watching that bell boy walk outta the room - he didn't even hesitate.

Castaway with Tom Hanks! Standing in a 4 way intersection alone in the middle of nowhere? WTF! I think that the point was that you don't need an island to find yourself alone. |

Castaway with Tom Hanks! Standing in a 4 way intersection alone in the middle of nowhere? WTF! I think that the point was that you don't need an island to find yourself alone. See, I took that ending to be something different. I took it as, he was now at a crossroad and could go anywhere he wanted, including if he turned around and went back to the ranch where he left the package, he was now in better control of his life. That any way he chose to go, he wouldn't be alone like on the island, she names the cities along the roads. |

Descent with Rosario Dawson (not the one with the chicks in the cave)

If you look a little closer at the end of Castaway, you'll notice that Tom Hanks basically let's the wind lead him in the direction he should follow. After being stranded for so many years, he finally learned to work with nature and not against it. In a word...symbolism.
