I'm actually a web designer so I think I can give you some advice.

1. Your site doesn't benefit at all from using flash. Ditch it for now.
2. Don't use serif fonts for body text, use arial/helvetica or verdana they are easier to read.
3. Rethink your logo and make it WAY smaller.
4. Those white bars are distracting. Either get rid of them completely or make them much thinner like maybe 20px.

Also, NEVER put sound on your website. Unless it's a flash game, just don't.

If I go to a site and it has sound... I exit IMMEDIATELY.
