How long has it been since your last long relalationship?

For me it has been over 7 years,i have dated, but haven't found the special one.

As i have got older,i just don't feel that same spark as when i was younger.

An the online dating is alright, but i get tired of typing,an talking on the phone about the same thing, sometime i feel as if i should just write a resume,an a cover letter about myself sometimes.

Just want some opinion about this,it's a question i have.

you can't sum up a person on paper..thats simply the way things go, no matter how hard you try, in print...you never get the full and complete "story" of a person

Why not use your profile like a resume, so to speak. I put a lot on mine and let the door fly open. Putting as much stuff, things of the common, as you can will help weed out boring convos and non potential men. It helps.

Going on 5 years here. After the last few years being so busy for me .. I've relaxed a bit to meet people only recently.

I was in a very serious relationship from last year November until this past August -- with someone I have been involved with before. More than once.

We've been doing this on-again-off-again thing for years.

I'm tired of it.

But I have never met anyone with her intellect, her creativity, her sheer inability to bore me in any way at all.

This is totally unique in my experience.

For a long time, I felt the best thing would be to let it go and move on.

But everyone else is so one-dimensional by comparison. Everyone else wants to "domesticate" me, or put me inside-the-box I worked so hard to escape from.

A dilemma.

I so agree with all the above,an the few that i have met in person, from online don't turn out like they say they are,an everything i have told them about is what they get,so i kind of find away out of the next date.

I like online dating. I like it as much as doing background checks on perspective suitors. All part of the "New" online dating scene. Gotta protect yourself. I'm not disgruntled, just honest.

its good to keep an open mind and not judge things too harshly right away. like online dating. im kinda iffy about it, but this site is fun. i dont really expect to just bump into someone i have great chemistry with online. i prefer a more personal and old-fashioned feel to my love life.

puls its no fun trying to make out with a keyboard.

I just recently started the whole dating thing again... I know what u mean about that spark... but, I think that today its more of A INTIMACY W/O INTRICACY type of situation...
or better yet friends with benefits...

maybe its just me... but it seems hopeless

good luck

No. That's not what it has come down to.

You just have to weed through the ones that want it that way.

LOooooong time...

But via online, have actually found myself on the other side of the "run for your life if someone makes noises about a relationship" fence...

Not sure if it's anything but I found it here. Crazy, no?
