How do you keep a good thing going once you have had a date with someone? If you are very interested in them, and you believe them to be very interested in you, what do you do? What are some things you shouldn't do? How long should it be before you go on another date, and when should you talk about taking the relationship past the friendship level?

Be transparent with the person. Being honest includes sharing feelings of your excitement and hesitancy. I think anyone would find the combo charming.

good advice - there is no recipe - be yourself, and don't be scared to put your feelings on the line

At least one thing you shouldn't do; call them mulitple times a day. Definitely not in the frienship stage.

but when do you talk about moving things past the friendship stage, and do you ask them are they not dating other people? or how do you go about that?

Really? Doesnt that make you seem like you are just waiting for it to happen, like putting all your eggs in one basket?

That's what I'd consider being in a committed relationship.

Wasn't it just one date?

I wouldn't want a girl to ask me what my future plan for kids is. Not until after we're in a relationship, at least.

So what do you do? I don't know what to do next and I don't wanna run this guy off

hmmm. it's different for every couple. i just think you should be yourself. yeah, you don't want to run him off. but you don't want to pressure him into a relationship that he doesn't truly want to be in either.

that will just be painful for you.

Just let it flow for the time being.

Getting all stressed out on what and what not to do will be one of the first things that " run him off ".

that's what makes it worth while - keeping people on a string to fall back on in case things don't work out is .... you will figure it out during the course of life experience.
