its a baby stroke....symptoms disappear in 24 hours

it can..but recognizing it and getting proper attention at the time of it...can prevent/postpone a major stroke.

no lasting effect from a TIA...but good to get a neurologist involved and see what they say...get some of them expensive brain scans..develop a treatment plan..etc etc...

thanks cat....im going to call a specialist on monday.....they ran every test imaginable, but didnt mention a neuroligist..

ya, if it was me or a family member..I would very much like a referral to a neurologist. family doc can give it to you at a follow up vist.

i dont know what your medical history is..but follow up and persistence is often good.

no not me ...my Father, but yes they did!!!
sentr him home with a heart monitor too!!!
he's supposed to go see his DR on monday.....im going to make sure he gets a full follow up!!!

My Mother had several TIA's over the course of several years. She'd have numbness in her face and or hands, her speech would slur but they would go away. They seem to think that was what started her dementia.
