Thumbs up for Carl, I have always been a Roush Team fan and have ever since Mark was in the spotlight. Go Roush! I've always liked Jack Roush's style. He always seems to find the drivers with class. Starting with Mark back in the 80s. Yeah same here. I imagine the Hendrick organization is working hard right now to give Mark everything he needs to win the 500 in Febuary. I think Mark winning the 500 would be just as popular as Earnhardts back in 98 If Martin or Burton can't win the championship in 09 I'm going to pull for JJ to win his fourth. Him and Chad are clicking right now. They are the team to beat. |

I'd love to go to Daytona some year. We have Vegas, California and Phoenix out here. Vegas is about the only one I can get to because of my work load during the summer. |

Both Talladega and Atlanta produce some great racing.
The old Riverside track was also one of my favorites. I sure hated to see that one disappear. |

My sons and I were in Vegas in 2004 for the Las Vegas bowl and I thought I'd look into tickets for the 05 spring race in Vegas and the only tickets left were going to cost me $1200.00 each. Needless to say we missed the race that spring. It's hard to get into some of those races these days. My sons enjoy the races as much as I do. |

These tickets were for both the saturdays race and the cup race. Along with pit passes. It was still to much. Not sure about you but I find myself still refering to the saturdays race as either the Busch race and sometimes the Grand National race. And the cup races will always be The Winston Cup. |

I hear ya..Did you see the Nationwide road course race in the rain? They stated they wouldn't do that in the cup series.???? I think it would be a great race to watch. The truck series is changing to the Camping World Series. The trucks are the best racing of all three series! I think the cup will get there though, just need a little more time with these new cars...

Yeah I watched that race. I think NASCAR should give some thought to letting the cars run in the rain. Not all tracks, but some.
The truck series has come a long ways from when it first started. I'll never forget the first truck race at Datona and the violent crash Geoff Bodine had. I was pleased with the way the new cars ran this year. Far better than they did the few races they had last year. I record and save the races and have done so since the start of the 1988 season. My library of races is quite extensive. I also collect memorobilia. I have some pretty rare pieces. |

I have some SR stuff I know is worth a lot. I have the die cast dealers/race version of the 98 plus car and its autographed! Been offered some good coin for it. I also have Jrs 04 same version Born on Date Daytona die cast autographed. I have a picture I took of the Mikey leading, Jr in second and Sr alap down on the inside at the start of his final laps that people just goo goo over. A friend of mine walked out of Daytona in 2000 with 2 tires that have RR3 and FL3 on them and haven't been drilled! They drill holes in all tires left after the race to keep teams from testing with them. How he did that I still haven't figured out. He passed away and I have both.. I have some hand drawn stuff of Sr that's autographed. I think I will hold on to all my Sr stuff for awhile. Its only going to go up in value...
I was happy with the cars this year especially on the plate tracks. Seems if your good you can push someone all the way around and just 2 cars can pull away.Carol needs to watch how Jr does it I think one thing that needs addressed is the extra HP the lead cars seem to get when out in front on the intermediate tracks. |

I've been collecting for over twenty years when NASCAR was not as popular as it is now. BAck then you pick up things that no one else seen any use in having. I literally have thousands of die cast and other items. Lots of Sr. One of his cars is from the 89 seasons. All the decals have been applied to an oldsmobile instaed of the chevy. Still in the package. I have far to much to pick out any to describe.
Hey pretty cool with the tires. I'd hold onto to those for a good long time. |

When I need a fix I'll take out one of my old races and watch it. I liked when the manufactures cars looked like what they were. You could tell a ford from a chevy. An oldsmobile looked like an oldsmobile. Watching the 33 Skoal Bandit driven by Harry Gant is always great to re-live. Yeah I like going back to watch those old races. |

Im not getting rid of any of my Sr things. Last year at homestead we literally ran into Carl Edwards and he stood there and shot the **** for about 20 min. He signed everything we had and even waited while someone ran and bought cars from his trailer to sign. Sold one one eBay and that paid for the 2 I kept. |

I think NASCAR has got far to rigid with there rules. When Kyle Busch drove up along Edwards last year and ran into him ( forget what track at the moment) and Carl retaliated NASCAR comes along and fines Edwards. I was pi**ed. As far as I was concerned Carl haad every right to do what he did.
When NASCAR parked Harvick a few years ago at Martinsville that moment in Harvicks life ruined him as the driver he could have been. I think his style of aggressivness is good for the sport. NASCAR has to let these guys drive and show a little aggressivness. And I don't mean the Kyle Busch kind. He just blatantly runs into the other drivers. |
