Well, one inadvertent cure is to watch two people who are in a couple who don't talk or only argue!!! But, that's not a positive experience, is it???
So, try counting your blessings and get busy with something else to keep your mind off of it and go talk to family and friends who LOVE YOU!!

Good answer, lol. Short and to the point. I however just try to keep busy. I get very lonley too but I try to stay focused on the future, my goals and hopefully I will meet that special someone and the lonley days will be gone. Hope this helps.

There are so many lonely people, especially at this time of year when there is so much emphasis on family and social gatherings, it's sad too see.

This might sound cheesy but why not try visiting a homeless shelter and volunteering. Or maybe visiting a nursing home?

Hug someone. Listen to their stories. Smile at a stranger.

Call the Red Cross, Habitat for Humanity, the United Way...ask if they need volunteers.

You will meet others, broaden your social circle and do some good in your community.
