It was a closed adoption by the US government. When I was 18, they gave me pictures of my family and letters my mom had written, with the names of my family blacked out or cut out. That is why my first daughter's adoption was private and semi-open. She can find me when she is 18 (10 more years) and I update them every year as to my whereabouts. BTW, she is GORGEOUS! |
