not married/divorce.. but i had 3 wedding sets from engagements..
i still have 2 sets.. and i gave the other to my friend.. lol she is divorced now.. i tried to warn her. |

I gave mine to my mother, because I was about to throw it into a lake...and she said that just wouldn't be right. Like my wife having an affair while wearing the $7500 engagement ring and wedding band I gave her was???

I kept mine. Its a really pretty ring and sometimes I get it out and put it on......and then I put it back in the box!

It isn't so much the ring(s) itself. It's the sentimentality (or lack thereof) attached to it. The ring itself is just a material object. Getting rid of the ring does not get rid of the memory.

Not divorced here...widow...in jewelry box can't bear to bring myself to look at it. It will go to my daughter though...all of my rings he got me will go to my daughters.

My first wife liked to wear my wedding right along with hers (why I don't know) and at some point her hand swelled up and we had to have it cut off. Pretty sure I chucked it at her but I must not have hit what I was aiming at because she's not disfigured or anything. The second I still have. I don't believe in bad luck or anything attributed to the ring. It represents a time in my life that had some good along with some bad in it. If I did't have it, I would not miss it.

I still have MINE! I wear my engagement ring on my RIGHT hand sometimes- Its a WHITE gold 1/4ct diamond w/ 4 saphires around it- so theres NO WAY Im giving that up!
 My wedding band is who knows where....! |

I didn`t go through a divorice.I kept my wife`s rings after she passed away, just in case one of my grand daughters would want the rings.
