Topic: Who is sick of turkey? | |
---|---|
As I've mentioned, I had T-day early. I still have about 2 days of turkey. Every time I open the fridge or freezer and see turkey, I start to get sick. I ate out a lot more this weekend than I should have. Just pent 15$ at lunch, but I'm getting lunch for tomorrow out of it too.
Who else is terribly sick of turkey? And what creative ways have you found to try to get rid of the last of it? |

When I finally get tired of it, I put the remainder in the yard for the birds and they pick it clean...but have to put it up high enough that the dogs and cats don't get it

Live in a downtown apartment. I don't think the shops would like that option. I'm thinking of seeing if my cat will eat some of it. Very finicky when it comes to people food.

Turkey can be used in all sorts of ways much like chicken.
Chop the turkey up and make turkey salad, put it in a salad, put it in an omelet, or cover it in BBQ sauce for sandwichs. |

I don't put chicken in omelets. And dislike BBQ sauce. But I've had so many turkey sandwiches, so much turkey soup, and not to mention all the turkey over stuffing and potatoes. Gah. I have GOT to get to the store this evening. BEEF, PORK, FISH. Anything but bird. |

make some turkey croquets with the leftovers....they are really good, quick to make and inexpensive (I used ground crakers to roll the mixture in, rather then bread crumbs).
