Hello there, are you a quilter and interested in hooking up with other women with the same interest?I think it would be great if we could exchange some of our favorite patches.Wouldn't it be great to have a quilt made with pieces from your friends on m2.Let me know what you think or how we can do it with out it costing us each to much.carol

I used to quilt & was exchanging charm squares with people online 10 years ago. It's a lot of fun. I even got some really cool fabric from Japan.

Hmm, I made a quilt top once. A railfence design. My grandmother took it and put the backing on it and the stuffing in it.

I was bored and we had a sewing machine at home so I fired it up. Came out looking ok too...

My mom has an antique quilt made by a man. He was an old sailor who broke his leg at the start of a voyage. He had sewing skills from repairing sails. This was a steam ship,he was unable to work & was bored, so he sat sewing with the ladies.

Oops! That one came out like Saturday night and a pint of gin! laugh

I'd love to quilt if I can. It's a bit difficult to get fabric because the only place left in town is WalMart, and I don't shop there. Maybe I'll try to pick up some fabric whenever I get up to Seattle. I've been dying to make a Double Irish Chain my whole life!
