my work phone in the toilet.
it fell right outta my hoodie

and into the toilet while i was flushing.
it is now dead
but making staticy noises.

my head jsut hurts.
and i broke a phone.

it's true - if you take out the battery,
let it dry out - do not overheat it while
trying to dry it - just a little warmer than
room temperature is ok and using towels or
paper towels to absorb some of the water won't
hurt

then it *may* work again - if you're lucky
but it is probably a goner

Cool, I had a buddy who forgot his Razr was in his pocket and went wakeboarding. It was fine because he took the battery out but he said that it drowned in the laundry later.ohwell

Even if you dry it out, it's still probably done for. There is a little dot in the battery compartment that should be red-and-white checkered. If the phone is exposed to moisture, this dot will obviously turn pink. If this happens, your phone may still work, but only to an extent. Sound quality will suffer, reception will suffer, operations will suffer, and you are ultimately left with pretty much just a piece of sh!t. Best off to just get a new phone.

put it in a baggie full of uncooked rice, ive heard its supposed to draw the moisture out
