I have my sights set on the young lady who i work with, she is divorced with 1 child, which to me is not a big deal, but how do i allow her to notice me, i mean i am extremely shy when it comes to relationships and i tend to open mouth and insert foot. I feel that there is a connection between us, cause we are always talking and flirting and such, but idk, anyone have any experience in what i should do??? PLEASE HELP ME!@!!!

If you already talk to her on a regular basis, HAVE SOMETHING IN YOUR HEAD AHEAD OF TIME and the next time you just talk, mention, for instance, "I'm going to go see ______ movie. Would you care to go?" If she asks WHEN, tell her at her convenience. If she says no, then no harm, no foul, you know where she stands with you NOW.

You just have to take the chance and ask her out. Then forget it. Just resign yourself to just being friends. |

Maybe you can just casually ask her if she liked to go out for a beverage or something like that to break the shyness out of ya.
But if u guys r flirting with one another ya can't b that shy. Take it slowly and gradually u may build up enough confidence. U can ask her if she would like to accompany u to buy breakfast or lunch and as a surprise offer to buy her the same. This can help her see that u r a thoughful and considerate person as well as getting to talk to her a little and allow u a opportunity to get to know one another a little better. Good Luck |

O.K,here's a start....drop the name romeo.it clearly isn't you.(or me either)since you work together you don't want to make an ass out of yourself.do whatever you can do to get lunchtime off together....i know you have a male friend at work that can manage it....on the way out the door casually mention you're going for coffee and does she want to join you.above all,be a man,be honest, and never, ever let a single mom pay for anything.good luck

Look at it this way.
You said that you wind up being a babbling fool at times because you are shy. If you are really interested in this woman, then when you come up to talk to her like you would any other day, but you are fumbling and bumbling with your words, then she is most likely going to pick up on the fact that you are nervous. If she likes you, she may like you that much more because of it. It shows her that you have interest in her, and it makes you nervous. Best of luck. |

Take it from another shy guy (me) If you don't try, you can never say you did. You will regret it and punch yourself in the face for not doing it. I am still shy as crap, but I just go for it. Even if I am falling over my own words, sometimes it actually seems to help the situation because then the girl sees that her mere presence is making you googly. Just go for it man, it's totally worth it.

If you already have a friendship started, and she flirts back, maybe she is waiting for you to make the first move. The worst thing that could happen is she says no. Go ahead, take a chance on love!! |
