I'm so sorry to hear that  At my mom's job they just laid off 22 people this week. Thats what my work is doing, we are a very small company, less than 50 employees. She let me and other admin girl go, she told 3 salesguys that they can either leave or go strictly commission based, the office manager got her salary cut by $15,000 for the year, and the accounting girl got her salary cut by $10,000 for the year and is now working part time. |

remember, there is only one way to eat an elephant. One bite at a time so when anything looks too big a problem to handle. Just take one bite. Then another What a wise advice! I'm impressed!

I know your pain all too well I know its not worth crying over, but all I keep thinking about is all the bills that don't stop just because she is a selfish b*tch. I lost my job at the end of October & have had no luck finding anything.  Wow, its just awful out there right now. Here are prayers for all of us that need jobs. |

A year from now, you'll be glad it happened. I believe everything happens for a reason. I was laid off 1 year to the day after moving to Tulsa. I took a job on the midnight shift, then promoted to supervisor, then assistant lab manager, now lab manager. All in 5 years! |

Well I got my freakin Christmas gift from my work today. FREAKIN LAID OFF! I am not sure if I am pissed, angry, scared, frustrated or what. 3 weeks before Christmas. 3 1/2 years of loyalty to her, working anywhere from 40-65 hours a week, days - nights - weekends, taking my son to work, working at home, working in the office. UGH!!! Unreal. Okay, done ranting, thanks for letting me get that off my chest. Collect that unemployment. |

She was talking to me today in the office and I started clicking the computer, she asked me what I was doing. I said, "filing my unemployment claim". She looked at me like I had 10 heads or something. Duh, the faster I get that filed, the quicker I get my first check. |

Thankfully the gifts are all bought and now I just have to get my house ready for 20 guests on Christmas day. I am blessed with an extremely generous family and everyone is pitching in to help out. I am starting to feel better, I talked to my mom and my sister and they gave me some suggestions. And thank you to everyone here who gave me some amazing words of encouragement. You guys helped to lift my spirits as well. And prayers to all of you looking for work.

that's so rough. i hope you have a good christmas though.. i mean its silly to say but man... at this point there's only one way... up. maybe you're destined for a better job.. one that won't abuse you timewise. :) i hope you find it hon. and i hope you told the owner what you think of them.. |
