It's amazing what massive pain killers, sleeping pills, and an additional 12 hours of sleep will do.

I use an older form of meds for them. It's called Midrin. Works wonders.

4 in 1 opens my sinuses and helps me breath, but is hell on my blood pressure and doesn't do anything for head pain.

Vitamin B2, take 200 mg a day, my neurologist told me about it, said it works on about 35% of the population. It is a preventative, it helped me, I was waking up with a headache almost daily, not necessarily migraine, but it helped cut down the frequency of the migraines too.

Topamax is a wonder drug as far as I am concerned, is taken daily too, but has minimal side effects. Since I have been on it, I have had very rare migraines. You may want to ask your doctor about it.

When I get a really bad one, I go to the Dr. for a Toradol shot, is an anti-inflammatory, not a narcotic, it helps my headaches quite a bit.

Fioricet is a good pain killer, has butabital (a barbituate) in it, caffeine and Tylenol, but it works pretty well on mine.

The rest of the suggestions about dark, quiet, cold packs, all help too. Glad you are feeling better.
