If, as some of you claim, Boxing is not a sport. I would like to get a
definition! One on one..No back up! Where else do you get that?? I mean, Really? Hockey..I guess not! Basketball? don't touch me or I will cry "Foul" I want men..Not wimps! |

Bob,
Boxing is the meaning of the word sport. It's the feminization of America Man!! |

well one way to look at it bobby
is the first step to get them to admit it is is to get them to legitmize it by disgusing it |

Bobby, I always thought of it as a sport. My father and I used to watch
boxing matches together. There is a rhythm to it. It is almost like watching a dance. If you step the wrong way or don't duck you get hit. The boxer has to be very agile to remain in the ring. It is a one on one contact sport. Some of the boxers today don't have the style that you used to see. They are the ones that are into weight lifting, not into the full body workout. So they don't have the legs to move around. |

Your right Steve not very sporting just plain dumb
Agile = athletic not sporting
I seriously don't see how anyone can define brutality as a sport nascar is a sport basketball or baseball is a sport foozball is a sport hockey is a sport boxing is 2 idiots standing in a ring beating each others face in However boxing is defined as a sport despite my own personal view |

Hmmm, just interjecting here. What are the outdoor "sports" that most
enjoy? Hunting/fishing? Are these sports, hobbies or are these two things considered "outdoorsmen" activities? |

Contact sport? I'll say. It's hard for me to justify boxing as a "sport"
because its sole purpose is to hurt someone. Or at least to keep from being hurt! It's interesting to watch, though. I met Don King and his encourage once and they are very nice. Boxing matches are interesting to watch live -- no noise! I guess, though, being the logical female, my opinion has little merit. It's all about show of strength, toughest man wins, spreading the pea**** feathers, etc. TestosTYRONE POWER!! |

his "entourage." geesh

It's money frst & ego second
Boxing has always been about money FIRST. Old guys box'd for the bets made outside the ring = money. Today just a more modern version = money. |
It's all about money.
But isn't everything? Sports, business, war and, for many people, even "love." |
