The regulars on this section of the forum are all aware of the hatred and discontent coming, at times, from all sides.
Looks like these problems are not unique to Mingle2. In the news today. The News & Observer recently took a small step toward more civility in the blogosphere. The paper's online gurus quietly banned publication of anonymous reader comments to the blogs on the Web site www.newsobserver.com. That is like this site, I have no problem with my picture and name and by proxy character be judge based on my comments.
If I am worried about my comments being judged, or whatnot, then I should keep them to myself. Free speech also means freedom from speech, you have the right to remain silent lol. |

with freedom comes responsibility
Wonderful adj4u That's right on. I bet more than one person posting on this forum might more closely resemble a human being if they had to share their proper name and location. Hiding behind an avatar one can say what they would like. There are benefits to anonymous speech but sadly it also empowers the ignorant, small minded and mean spirited as well. It creates bullies too. Big fish in little ponds. We all know what bullies do. I bet you saw it in the schoolyard. They assemble in groups usually with a real knucklehead in the lead and single out a victim to beat up, to call names and to torment. Almost without exception the first time someone hits them back or uses a stinging name against them they run to the teacher crying that they are the victims. I bet you've all seen it on these forums too. People are funny creatures. It would be swell if people had the intestinal fortitude to post under their real names. |

one of those responsibilities
is to try and ensure the law of the land is followed (in united states it is the constitution) no matter who is in office or soon those freedoms will be gone |
