UMMMMMMM, Anton Levay admitted he lied and made up his version of the faith! Although his writings had insight to the philosophies behind his twist on Satanism true Satanics are very covert. The Necronomicon was a made up book originating in HP Lovecraft novels. Oddly Satan as a concept first appeared in early Christian teachings to separate Lucifer, a fallen Angel to Satan AKA the Devil to the Evil face that was out to steal mens' souls.

Now worship of Lucifer HAS predated Christianity. To become more enlightened on true Satanism one should focus more on Lucifer's point of view. The bible does not really get into WHY God and Lucifer argued. The bible is not too clear on Lucifer's place in Heaven before he was cast out. Strangely the core of the faith behind Lucifer is TRUTH, not lies. From what I understand God and Lucifer got into an argument over the structure of "the world" and good and evil. This bled into an argument over Free will and why Angels would be denied it while God would give it to an animal instead. God would not explain (Cough cough) HIS (unless god is a woman) motives and Lucifer got into a very heated argument with God but in doing so was invoking his free will so God cast him from heaven becasue he could not obey God or accept his part in heaven. As I understand Lucifer was God's right hand angel and also his adviser. That is until God and Lucifer got into it. Other Angels seen the same way as Lucifer and likewise were cast from heaven. Apparently there is no room for free will in heaven. The reason as I also see it Lucifer and the angels stuck here in hell (another argument for another topic) are pissed off as all get out with the Angels in heaven feeling the angels in heaven are sell outs to God. "Better to rule hell than serve heaven..." As Lucifer sees things in the grand scheme is that God cannot handle the truth and that is why Lucifer is being punished. "The Truth Hurts," as the saying goes.

If one thing a follower of Lucifer would understand in there is truth in a lie, a lie in truth, and in truth freedom. The whole, "Satan is a Deceiver," thing is a lie. Satan, the Devil, AKA Lucifer may or may not make deals for people's souls. The fact is an idiot sells their soul. The sinner who stands for himself rather than selling his soul for easy fame, glory, or accomplishment is the sinner spared his full wrath. Even Christianity plays off that God is Final judgment so the Devil has no cause or need to judge. He knows the truth just like God does and it is up to the individual to acknowledge that or not. The rewards in the end are all the same!

Yes, Anton Levay created his own anti-God, anti-Christian movement. It is not a true worship of Satan or Lucifer. In fact, it is basically a huge spoof or joke just to make fun of religion in general. It got out of hand and became a huge "popular" rebellion against the church.

The true worship of Lucifer is probably very covert, and yet still out in the open. Certainly it is not Anton Levay's group. In fact, the statue of Liberty represents Lucifer, the light bearer.

Water is Satan's elemental force. He is quite fluid. I don't think we are there yet. Soon though, I have seen a few of the signs from the night skies.

That depends on the Satanism. I'm a Modern Church of Satanist/ mixed with Luciferian Vampire -not worshipper but we types are our own gods. Demonolaters make deals or pacts for certain things from certain demons. Some Demonolators are Spiritual Satanists such as Venus Satanas. LaVeyans are more Humanist and non- Theistic, most not believing in an anthropomorphic Satan. Others are Theistic such as Brotherhood of Satan and may worship. Even further in variation is the Luciferian Vampire type of Satanist who may be either Theist or Atheist but utilizes archetypal concepts such as put forth by Michael W. Ford.
