You actually can find out who your true friends are. I find getting up and trying to accomplish something every day, even if it takes you a while. Keep the chin up

I worked in the food service industry for a few years after hs, and unfortunately I am on disability now, cuz I fell flat on my back, and I can't work anymore, but I wish I could! I am not a lazy person at all!!

simple take your disability and show it to social security and look at them and say...sorry im not mexican but i'll try to learn spanish

I have family members that are on Social Security Disability and I can't comprehend how they make ends meet. It doesn't seem possible.

Great thread!I work and keep-on keeping-on. Ive have been disabled since childhood. Its just my thing! yes god is good and i walk-upright. you'd never know my fame/not pain Koolaidwoman!. Have some good day's.

You have to try to live each day as it comes. It's hard living with a disability some days are worse than others. Do not dwell on the past look toward the future. It's easy to say but hard to do. Living on SSA is hard and a challenge to make ends meet. Some people don't have relatives to rely on, many of those relatives turn their backs when you are diagnosed with a disability. I have spent most of my life taking care of my family members and when I need help the rest of the family disappeared. My simple advise is to try to keep mind, body and spirit occupied.

simple take your disability and show it to social security and look at them and say...sorry im not mexican but i'll try to learn spanish question what does the race have anything to do with disabilty it dont so why do illegal immagrents that work harder than americans not deserve benefits...simple the union up north which has caused it to ask for government help cause a employee turns 4 lug nuts and makes $48.00 an hour to do it when a mexican will do it for $5.00 an hour or less.......JMHO
