Actually been playing for years. I love it I like rag time to keep my fingers nimble.

I am not sure how hard it was since I started playing different instruments at around age 3. Started dancing around 5 now that was hard.

I do and I started as a child. Ive heard its tough to learn as an adult unless you already play other instruments. Something to do with your brain pathways that are devoted to music closing up when you are young if you dont use them.

I play.

I took a few lessons as a child & found reading notes boring & tedious. I have keyboards & a small upright piano which I play by ear. I can still read notation somewhat, but very slowly.

An alternate approach to learning piano w/o learning notation would be to learn the scales (do re mi, etc.), learn the major & minor chords first; and download guitar chord sheet music & practice with that; simple songs that you know.
