I didnt like the movie. it was very disapoint in many ways and the books turned out to be way more fun that the movie.
nothing against the movie or casting but i think they were too fake. i know its a fictional storie about vampires but still. the movie was to fake for me to see what the books showed.
huh

Is it gory? Does anybody die?

My child really wants to see it. I watched the trailers but I'm not sure that it would be good for my child to see.

The fight scene was a little rough at the end.
My mom even closed her eyes! slaphead

But other than that -- there's no need to worry about young kids seeing it.

i found this link for you
it's not very clear, but its the actual fight scene you're worried about.

I have read the books and thoroughly enjoyed them. I am worried the movie will alter the mental images I have of each character. I don't want to convolute my mind with Hollywood hype and the almighty dollar. So many times the movie doesn't do the book justice or they take liberties with major themes. Those of you who have read the book and seen the movie, what is your opinion?

It's defintly not as good as the book.
Edward is a disappointment.

But I liked actually knowing who played who because now as I'm reading the rest of the books, I like picturing it in my head, imaging each of the characters saying and doing each thing.

I saw a trailer for the movie and Edward in the movie doesn't even come close the mental image I have of him. I will probably skip the movie so I can keep my images intack.
Thanks for your input.

the books are always better than the movies
you use more of your imagination
i did not read the book first, but since twilight is the 1st of 4 in the series, i'm going to read them all
then see the other movies

i read Misery before watching the movie and although the movie was phenominal, i did indeed like the book better.
