I'm sure this topic has come up before but I've only been here about a week & am curious about something: I've noticed that the "peek" vs post ration is quite a bit different. Upon casual perusal, sometimes at a 20 peeks to one post rate...
Are "lurkers" really too shy to post? Here's an invitation to all the "peekers" to come out of the closet & post a friendly hello...& for the "Attention Wh@res" like myself, to "up" their posting number...don't worry...we don't bite...much!

Yep, this has come up again just recently. Some people aren't INTERESTED. Some refresh and come back to the post and each time it counts as a "view" on the count, etc....

Some things are interesting and some are not. Some you have has experences with and some you haven't. Some you just don't like so why bother or it could be the poster
 Some are just straight out stupid and awast of time and ect ect. Not going to be able to do all or want to do all.

Yeah, we read it, but if its not all that intersting we move on. Sometimes we come back to see if it picked up or is in the throes of death.

If the private mail I get is any indication there are quite a few that are being put off by some of the nastyness. It doesn't help the recipient and it sure doesn't help the person doing it. People see the bullies and just watch until they leave.

or some such drivil i have been payin attention to that and usuallly it runs around 10% +/- a little on occasion 20% and some no one posts in how was the netherlands

I switched from another site that is known for it's drama...& worse...believe me when I tell you that this site is a picnic compared to that one...count your blessings. I've told all my close friends about Mingle2...it's a refreshing change. But I do wish there were more regular posters...maybe the lurkers will see, as I have seen, that there are a lot of decent people here... |

Sometimes after I enter a thread it turns out to be nothing at all what I expected and I don't post. Sometimes the thread topic does not give me enough information as to what the thread is about, so I have to peek.

A lot of the views will be people who have posted in the thread watching and reading subsequent posts to see if they have been responded to.
I dont know why there is a view count, i cant see a point in it. |

Besides...the lurking really helps for when I am trying to sneek up to goose someone! |
