christmas is a holiday based on sun-worship.the death and rising (ressurection) of the sun-god (horus,tammuz) who has been personified based on the astrological movement of the sun. christmas has nothing to do with a cute and cuddly baby Messiah born in a manger as is depicted. It is not true folks. There were no 3 wisemen people, they were magicians. when they finally found the messiah it was 2 years later and He lived in a house. The Messiah was near or about 2 years old when the magicians found Him. That's why king herod had all the babies that was 2 years old killed hoping that he would kill the future King. research the origins of christmas and see if there is any Biblical Scripture to support this holiday. Yamin.... Beleive me, True Christians are AWARE of all this..... but it does not and should not keep True Christians ... from Celebrating the TRUE REASON FOR THE SEASON ANYWAY. Yamin... let's say a couple has a son born on a pagan holiday... does that mean the parents of that child .... CAN'T celebrate their son's birthday on that day.... simply because it is known as a pagan holiday to others ? (and yes Yamin, Christians are WELL AWARE that dec 25 is not Jesus's actual birth date..but we choose to celebrate his birthday on christmas anyway... cause it is not about a certain day anyway..... it's about celebrating the fact that our Lord and Saviour WAS BORN on earth.. and DID Dwell among us.... and came to Save Us... and we now REJOICE that our God Loved us that much........ and we celebrate..not only on Chrsitmas... but EVERYDAY.... cause we LOVE Our Lord God!!!  Wow so If I want to celebrate it on Halloween with pumkins and witches with the savior in the manger.. And 3 witches come to honor thier new found king. With sorcery being done to people as they come up to look at the baby who has little red Horns. it is okay because I love my Savior. It does not matter how we worship him. It is that we do worship him. And if I want to fly away on a broomstick to get home he is proud of me. He is love. Why all the silly things of the bible. They do not mean anything because my savior did away with the law. We are Free Free to do as we please. Every man doing what is right in his own eyes is what Chr-stianity is about now. It is OBVIOUS that you haven't the Foggiest of what True Christianity is About, Miles. For one..christians do NOT believe in doing away with the law ....we are just not under the LETTER of the law....but now under Grace. And We still keep God's law, out of of our LOVE for God. Show me what is the Letter of the Law in scripture.. YHWH(Almighty God) hates christmas. Dont celebrate this pagan holiday otherwise you will be worshipping the sun. Jeremiah 10 What gives you the idea that God hates Christmas? I have never once, in all my years of celebrating Christmas worshiped the sun. Never even thought about connecting the sun with the Son. It's what is in your heart. I don't know for sure the way they have worked out when His birthday was, but I heard a think on the radio one time that said it is very possible, because he was born on the other side of the world from us, and their seasons are not the same. I will have to look into that. |

There is actually a website about the Star of David, and the Magi were men from other countries, I have heard maybe kings, not sure on that, who were also astronomers, not to be confused with astrologers. And yes Jesus was two years old when they found him. You make it sound like someone was trying to say different.

There is actually a website about the Star of David, and the Magi were men from other countries, I have heard maybe kings, not sure on that, who were also astronomers, not to be confused with astrologers. The Magi was from Peria. Zoraster is the father and Mithra is the son who reincarnates himself a a baby every so often. The Magi are the Priests of Zoraster or Mithra. You can search the internet and find out alot. The priests looked to the heavens for signs and wonders of thier Messiah Mithra. They came following the signs to Herod and was suppose to come back and tell Herod where the New Born King was so he could have Yahshua killed. When they found him since they were looking for thier Messiah/ King they came with expensive presents as they were in charge of all this. They were convinced this was Mithra. Not Yahshua. In Persia to day you can still see the Temples of Mithra and the carved priests. A lot of them in Roman empire that believed at that time went underground. They had thier meetings and services to Mithra in Caves. I believe it is on the internet a picture of St peter's church in Rome and it shows steps going under the church. It was built on a Mithra worship cave. Later after the Messiah's death and the destruction of the Temple Zorastrism became popular among the Roman soldiers. By 324ad it was the Roman soldiers religion. Also around this time is when Constantine said he saw a cross in the sky in battle that said..By this sign conquer. later constantine converted and merged the 2 religions together. Mithra's religion was more about birth than the memorial death of Yahshua. Mithra is said to have been born to begin with on Dec 25th as this is when the decree went out on payment of death to worship the messiah Yahshua on Dec 25th. Thus mixing the 2 in many ways. The cross became the badge of death. by this sign conquer went across Europe. This is why if you have ever watched movies from the dark ages you will see the uniform has a big cross on it.. The shield has one and the sword is made to look like a cross. Millions of people slaughtered because Yahweh wanted them to or the cross would not of won battles time after time.. So therefore, you both do NOT have the HOLY SPIRIT IN YOU.... to LEAD and GUIDE You into ALL TRUTH!!! Meaning.... you both have NO AUTHORITY WHATSOEVER.... to be speaking here about GOD'S HOLY WORD .... cause you are both are not yet born again!!! (Becoming Born again ,comes by calling upon the Name of the Lord Jesus Christ (or Yeshua in HebreW).....and asking Him into your heart as your Personal Lord and Saviour......and no.....it doesn't come by JUST the keeping of the law!! Some of you people are tripping, this is to be expected. Many people feel that any truthtelling about the pagan origins of christmas is nothing more then an attack on the church. But how can this be? Isnt GOD a GOD of truth? So lets tell the truth about chritmas; christmas is a pagan holiday complete with its own little seperate but equal belief system, its own little pagan god santa claus, and a complete retelling of the birth of Christ including snow. So let me ask any of you this; the kids suffering from genocide in the sudan, do they care that its christmas? Or does GOD only love your over priveledged behinds enough to give you more stuff that you dont need? And how does all this consumption and this consumer mentality square with the will of GOD?

One more thing; its very condescending to tell someone that they have no right to the truth because they are not "born again". What you are really saying is "shut up". If someone tells a lie bear witness to that lie, but if someone tells the truth and you pull this "Im somehow closer to GOD then you are" then you completely shut down intelligent debate and lose any oppurtunity to tell the truth about anything.

We are not celebrating that(read the whole thread). And celebrating our Lord and Saviour's birth, is not adding to God's Word!! In fact, we as Christians are to celebrate and worship our Lord Jesus..EVERYDAY...not just at Christmas!!!! And I am sure God would NOT mind our celebrating and worshiping Him Everyday.... and I am sure God would NOT look upon it as adding to God's Word!!!

Jesus died telling the truth. Also, this pagan holiday was in existence during the life of Jesus and there is no record of him or anyone else in scripture celebrating this pagan holiday.

Ok..... let's just say it's already dec 25th..... and nonchristians are busy celebrating the holiday for their own reasons.... tell me........ what then should christians be doing on dec 25th.... should christians be sitting around ....all glum.....sadsacks....no joy.... cause it is a pagan holiday being celebrated out there in the world on that day........ and so thererfore.... we christians aren't allowed to celebrate our Lord on that day....... simply because that day is also celebrated for other reasons? ..OR...... can the christians make the day a celebration of their Lord and Saviour Jesus...despite what or how else the world is celebrating otherwise??? I mean...... we born again christians already celebrate and worship our Lord everyday anyway...... why not also on Dec 25th? Why should we be GLUM, while the rest of the world is celebrating that day for their own reason ? See what I am saying here? Do you see how legalism and religiousity .... can and will try to ROB THE JOY out of a Christian's life ? IF we allow that to happen? That is exactly WHY the devil fights christians so hard..... even attackng our wanting to set aside a day to celebrate our Lord's birth. We christians are not only attacked by the world system.... we also now get attacked by religious spirits. If the enemy can' steal our Joy one way....he tries another.
