I just joined. I left plenty of fish for the lack of replies and the
basic rudeness of the people there. I have heard positive feedback

I actually met a girl from POF last year, and she may very well have
been the single most dishonest person I have ever met in my life. I
think my account is actually still up over there but I haven't used it

I am glad I joined. Most ads seem sincere, and people down to earth. I
am glad that I am not the only one who did not have a good experience
with plenty of fish. It seems that the members there are interested in
partying or "else" if you get my drift. It did not seem that there was
a big, vested interest in long term, or even remotely, short term
relationships. Glad I joined here. Thanks again for the kind replies.

Hello....

John -- I found the forums on the other site to be very contentious and
argumentative without a lot of substance. People were just using them
as a platform to gripe about other people on the same thread. Of
course, I spent an inordinate amount of time on a few specific forums,
so maybe the others weren't quite as bad.

There is the occasional flare-up here; but it's generally kept to a
minimum' and rarely does anybody go overboard. Most of us are
inherently civilized and would like to see the site, as a whole,
maintain civility as the norm.
