It's all about a proper time and place for everything. I say, let everyone find out who you are and what your all about with your shirt on. The people that want to find out more can get the peep show if they want it. I'm all about freedom of expression...if I don't like what I see, I look somewhere else. However, true "community" is doing things for the common good of all and being considerate of others. Kind of like keeping the curtins closed if your going to run around naked in your living room.

I don't like the part of this true community and all. We are so far from an actual good society. Until then, I think no holds barred seems to be the most consistent mentality. I mean....homeless person out on your curb is good, but don't let him see you naked through the window? C'mon dude.

No community is perfect, but you can't let that fact make it a free-for-all. When people stop caring, things start to spiral. People being homeless is not the way things should be, but lots of things aren't they way they should.

But I'm saying it basically is a free-for-all and nobody cares. It has been this way for a while, we got lots out of it, and I say keep it going for a while. We have such rotten images everywhere...on billboards, in magazines, and blah blah blah...everywhere. Violence and sex right on tv. Pink says we're all going to get in a fight. This guy with his shirt off is 10x more tasteful than any of it, and you say there's a time a place for everything? Just saying.

Look, if he does one thing then he's going to be labeled as such. Damned if you do,and damned if you don't.

So I suppose gangbanger clothes and thug styles are a fashion statement, right? Yes, if ANYBODY does something or deliberately goes out of their way to portray a certain type of image to the public at large, THEY are responsible for their own choices that THEY made for themselves, NOT anybody else! Personal accountability! Any flak that they may get for choices that THEY made, they will get.

All in all, the keyword was "should". Nasty little word. It's your psyche, deal with it. People can do jumping jacks and say what they want and take off their shirt or whatever. WHO CARES!
Are we mature enough to not care?

I suppose total anarchy is the way to go, right? Your question should be, "Are we mature enough to CARE?", as there are already WAYYYYYYY too many people in this world who obviously don't. So my question to you is, shouldn't people be mature enough to have a bit of self-dignity?

i'm not a fan of the shirtless poseurs. however, i don't mind the action shots, or the beach shots, where being shirtless isn't out of the ordinary.

i always think one of two things:

1. they really have an over-inflated sense of self-worth
2. they underestimate what really will attract a woman

either way, by posing, i can quickly them weed out in the way of a relationship, or a friendship, knowing that the sort of person who'd advertise themselves in this way wouldn't be someone with whom i'd get on well.

The only thing that really bothers me about the shirtless pics are two things.

1. Rarely if never see that they have anything above the neck in their pictures, essentially you are talking to a torso

2. They are never natural and relaxed in their picture, always straining and "flexing" to try and look like they got "abs"...Half the shirtless pic guys really should cover what they don't got up!

Most women will NOT decide to date a man because of his physique, we aren't wired to be just visually attracted and aroused, we are more tactile sensory...and emotional!

I find there is a delicate balance...you like someone first because they are funny and make you feel special, then they are becoming more and more sexually attractive to you until, one day if some god awfully rude person says "Why are you with him? That guy over there is hotter" you honestly won't know what they mean, because your man is the best looking in the world FOR YOU...

uh, off track long post short, its winter time boys, put on a sweater! I don't wanna see icicles forming off those pasties~

Look, I see all this as very natural and typical human behavior. Anyone disagrees and it's got to be all you.

A bit of self-dignity? Look at your world around you. If this self-dignity doesn't buy you some protection of your independence, it was money ill spent.

I have the same policy toward guys messaging me as my boss has towards customers in his diner.

He has a sign

No shirt
No shoes
No service

I make an exception for no shoes.

You ladies need to consider a perspective you may not have thought of.

It might be better if everyone just ran around naked. Seriously (Put aside vanity or self-concious issues)

For me, every time I am naked GREAT things seem to happen to me and I always seem to end up smiling and in a good mood. Never heard of any of my friends having a miserable time while naked.

Other than that, My Dad raised me....I was brought up in shorts and shoes....that was pretty much what I wore all the time. Just comfortable with it. When I post a pic of me without a shirt...just me being comfortable.

If self-conscious modesty is to be enforced...which of you beautiful ladies would be willing to wear a Burkha to satisfy someone elses opinion of what is acceptable?
