Ooooooh, I'm kind of torn on this one re: the ex-wife. On one hand, she really made my life miserable before, during, and after the divorce.

On the other hand, it's hard for me to hold a grudge against anyone who isn't my ex-wife's mother, who gets a special dispenasation for reasons I won't go into here.

On some level, I hope she has a good life. On a more realistic level, I know she doesn't have the tools to accomplish that, and she will probably always be a sponge. Meaning I'm better off not being involved.

Of my other (non-marriage) exes, I really have no animosity towards any of them. One I'm actually quite fond of.

I did that with my ex husband for a while. Then we became friends and he got killed in July. Now I regret ever having an ill feeling towards him in some ways.

and only then because she almost lost custody
two summers ago she died
crossed a double yellow on a motorcycle
whilst riding out of town with her lover
while her husband
(father to her third child from three fathers)
was in Iraq
my friend has full custody of his daughter now
but he has to watch her grow up without a mother

never wish ill will toward anyone
it's not worth the energy
