We thought things were getting better, but Dad was acting very strange for the past two days. Found out the doctors were giving him haladol and it was reacting badly to his other meds and his weakened system.

They finished the MRI and finally discovered what the cause is.....he has a staph infection. Where he picked it up from is still a mystery.

Please keep the good thought and prayers coming.....He needs them.

Doctors put in a port for the iv's so they won't have to keep sticking Dad.....they are doing so many blood tests and checks he says he feels like a pincushion. My 16 yr old told him pincushions are cute tomatoes, so that would be a good thing.

He either has to stay in the hospital for two to four weeks......and he will go crazy in there for that long.

The port is a good idea. My dad had Staph in his blood about 3 years ago, they used the port for the IV, he needed IV antibiotics for about 6 weeks to cure it, hope your dad doesn't need them that long. They can pick up Staph from anywhere, dad got his from a little sore on his foot, any break in the skin really.

I will keep him and you and your family in my thoughts and prayers.
