How many of you have actually considered yourself in a relationship with someone you haven't met in person?

I myself couldn't consider it because often people aren't what you expect when you finally meet face to face.

didn't consider it a relationship until we met and then after we met we had a discussion about it ... before we met we were just "talking" bigsmile

Friendship, but that's as far as it goes until you meet.

I naively did it a couple times before I fully understood that LDRs are tools of the devil, or maybe Bob Barker, which is approximately the same thing.

Kinda weird to call it a relationship without meeting, IMO.

I wouldn't consider anything a relationship until I met someone but I would probably hold off getting distracted if I really found someone that interested me. After we met I would know pretty quick how I felt. Being a military wife you learn to cope with long distance. Maybe not like it but cope with it.

I can very easily picture myself in a relationship with someone online. That may be partially due to the fact that both people I have met from here were EXACTLY as they seemed, but after talking to my online interest...and his family for over 6 months...I think I know him pretty well by now. flowerforyou

Also...you can know someone for years only to discover they are not what they seemed. ohwell It happens a lot.

Well, yeah.
It's a brain relationship here.
Learn to love someone's communicative talents
and their release of inhibitions
which you won't hear/see in face-to-face talk.

It's a relationship like a dream, doomed to vanish when the telephone rings, and they say, "Hello???"

I think if it's the right person, the phone can ring and bring the dream even closer. flowerforyou

I considered it a relationship because there was such a connection that Jon and I had. Our meeting in person only amplified that and that is when things took off between us. We have only been together four times but we know that this is right.

I definately considered it a relationship for the 3 months we talked prior to meeting and he did too. Now, after meeting it is just more so.
