Maybe of how I feel about you, and maybe I shouldn't
Maybe I shouldn't feel, perhaps I shouldn't care

I think of your eyes and being lost in them
Maybe I shouldn't look at them
Maybe I shouldn't fall into them so deeply
But I do
I think of your heart and feel it beat
Maybe I shouldn't desire to dive into the center of it
Maybe I shouldn't want to hold it so close to me
But I do
I think of those arms and having them around me
Maybe I shouldn't want to be held by them
Maybe I shouldn't desire the warmth of being wrapped in them
But I do
I think of your voice and hearing it again
Maybe I shouldn't yearn so badly to hear it once more
Maybe I shouldn't want to hear you whisper in my ear
But I do
I think of your soul stirring within me
Maybe I shouldn't feel your soul moving with mine
Maybe I shouldn't want you to remain there forever

Maybe none of us should dare to dream of things to be.
Maybe we should all go run and hide and wait and see.
Maybe the dream we carry also carries our soul to feel free.
Maybe tomorrow all my dreams, will contain you and me.
