i missed the hopping tonite.. i had to play catchup!

While we came pretty close to gettin' scorched in the fire (one section of the blaze came within 500-feet of my dad's place in Sylmar), we came away all right. No damage or anything serious. Had the fire jumped the 210 freeway far enough though, it woulda been a different story.

You gotta feel for those "Oakridge" people, though- the whole area was pretty much wiped clean of everything, from vegetation to homes and other structures. It looked like an atomic bomb hit it.

And I say this as a person who's driven past there at least a hundred times and couldn't see much due to the heavy presence of trees and stuff that USED to be there. After the fire though, you could see all the way into the lot... and then some.

Of course, all the TV networks, police and fire vehicles have the street jacked-up with news crews and other stuff. Freaky stuff.

Fire, we just gotta learn to ignore stupidity... Same sh*t different night, but this place was hopping with the people that followed us away from stupidity so if you some new faces they're cool peeps...
