So I was walking in the parking lot after gaming when I had an accident. The parking lot is lit, but the rears of this row of cars were all in shadow. I'm walking fast because it's very cold (5 degrees Celsius) and windy. Anyway apparently I'm walking too close to this SUV because I suddenly trip and am falling. I have containers in my hands that make it difficult to catch my balance. I know I hit my head, but it's cold, & I can see straight, so I hurry on. As I'm climbing the steps to my apartment building, I feel the blood above my eye welling up, & sure enough, as I'm climbing the interior staircase, blood drips into my glasses. I'm kinda getting worried, but I get up to the apartment alright. Once inside I get a look at it. I've got a gash in my left eyebrow. I can't really tell how deep it is because the eyebrow is in the way, but there's no skin flapping loose, although it is oozing blood. I also marked my shin and my arm where they hit, but they were covered in denim and so were good. The eyebrow has stopped bleeding now, and it aches, and throbs more than hurts. Anyway, I thought I'd tell you what happened to see if I could garner any sympathy. |
