So here I am alone and not finding what I want, or need on the dating scene. I was recently laid off and even with 2 degrees cannot find a good job. I was going to join the Army at 18 but did not, I am giving some serious consideration to it now though. I have talked to family about it and all are afraid of the war. What do you think? Just looking for open honest replies. I cancome out of basic as Sgt. make decent money and spend some time serving. I am just looking for some ideas. Thanks

I served. Don't do it right now. Find a way to hang on bro. I do realize the certain peace of mind from seeing a steady income....but, ya gotta balance that out with the realization that the military during war time is far different than the military durring peace time. Add on top of that the complete uncertainty of what the new President may do or not do...

Just cool your jets man....A Hawk or eagle doesn't dive out of desperation...nor does it strike at anything that moves...it uses observation and judgement. It works.

Just my take on it bro.

Whatever you choose...Peace.

Risk getting killed walking down the street. Plus at my age why not. I have no kids no real family ties. Do you really want me to ask you if you want to "super-size" that or would you and you friends laugh and call me a loser?

Really think so, my son is a Chief Petty officer on a sub, he has been to Iraq twice in the past three years on dry land, machine gun in hand, as security for convoy's.....every branch of service gets to serve our country. explode

I would rather have you making bad-assed fries than trying to cope with a debilitating battlefield injury.

Just don't want you heading into anything unaware man.

A modest living here has got to be worth as much as trying to cope with the loss of a limb...(If you are relatively lucky)

That really does not scare me. I will deal with it if it occurs that is how I am. Thanks for the advice you seem like a cool guy I appriciate it.
