Ok ladies, if you are calling and you say you are calling just to hear the other persons voice, what does that mean to you?

I think they do, but they don't like to admit it. Those familiar with the thing btw my tutor and myself know of the complexities. She is 5 years older but I don't care and she does. I spent the weekend in NYC last weekend and she didn't see me at all (the first time since we met) and I was pleasantly surprised that she called and told me that. Part of me wants to see it as hope she will get over the age thing, and part of me thinks she never will.

We talked for about an hour cause she didn't want to get off the phone, said she would call more often if she could think of things to say (not a native english speaker, but she speaks it pretty well I think)

That they're calling to hear their voice and talk to you. Perhaps they like you as more than a friend. That doesn't have to be the case though. I've called friends that I haven't talked to in a while just because I wanted to hear their voice, rather than get an email.

Thanks SKPCG - I am truly lucky, yes that's my Lola. The matriarch of my family, small and feisty, but strong and true!!!

If I am calling just to hear his voice then I am needing a closer connection that voice chat or email can give me at that time. I might be stuck at work and can't see him any time soon but I just need that lift.

Chazter, by your previous posts about this woman, I can tell that you REALLY like her. This is just my opinion, but I honestly feel that both of you need to figure out which side of the fence you want to be on.

She's telling you that she wont date you because of the age, yet she's still contacting you, obviously showing that she is still interested. So for her, she needs to decide yes or no, that she is going to pursue a relationship with you instead of toying with your feelings.

For you, you need to decide either you are going to keep letting her toy with your emotions, or just keep it as friends. And being that you really like her, I really don't see how you could do this. It might be best if you just cut all ties with her.

I hope you both figure out what you want and that both of you will be happy in what ever decision you make. flowerforyou

I agree with Ms Carmen

Chazter we have discussed this before open the communication line and discuss this with her.

Well, I decided that I can just be a friend if that is all she wants me as. I also think that we haven't known each other too long and if she does really like me she will get over the age thing. I am in no hurry to move things forward. I have come to grips with that. I still would like to get in her head sometimes though.

I agree with this. Don't let her toy with you and your feelings for her. It's obvious you care, but don't let that care make you a rug for her to step on.
