i do want to know about his past....but i also dont want to spend an hour talking about some other chic....that would get boring and make me think he was worried about his past not his future.

There are some things that have happened to me that have gone a long way toward determining the person that I am today.
If someone can simply accept the way I am, and not only accept it, but appreciate it, then I see no real reason to have to explain it. However, if she asks at some point why I am the way I am, I would have no problem telling them. |

no, but i think i'd like at least a general idea of why their major relationships had failed. i don't want to be just another number on the list. Agreed. No, I don't want every sordid - DRAMA - detail.. but getting some insight into why (or at least why they think it failed) their major relationships failed gives me an idea about their current position. If you've not taken the time to look back and reflect upon the mistakes made in the past, then how are you going to grow and change for the future relationships you might have?
