ok, it's been days since I posted my picture. Still no profile views, no matches, no possible matches (i've been through them all, and said "yes" to at least 100.), and no friend requests (except spam). It has to be my picture?? Any suggestions about my profile are appreciated.

Your pic is fine, but you might take down the one with you and the blonde for a bit. Your profile is fine as well.

My suggestion is to start posting in the forums and getting to know people.

I just perved you......good profile, good pic. just give it time. It always doesn't happen over night.

You may have actually gotten views but if they're operating in stealth mode, it won't show that they viewed you. I don't see anything wrong with the pic you have up, so don't exactly know why you feel it "has to be my picture". I'd say that most are here well over a month before anything really clicks with anyone, a few exceptions maybe. Ruth is right, try posting in some of the other forums besides the "rate my profile". JMO.

See, people aren't going to know you're here unless you're in the forums. Otherwise, the only way someone will see your profile is if you turn up in one of their searches (with x number of others), or if it's someone who already knows you and looks for you specifically.

Once you've been in the forums for awhile, and have interacted with people, they get to know you, they get curious about something you wrote, and they go to your profile.

Some may have already looked at your profile, but in "stealth mode," so you would have no way of knowing about that either.

But it's all about exposure, and that means the forums.

And lots of patience.

I agree with the previous post; lose the blonde. Put up pix of you doing something like playing your guitar, sitting on your bike with 2 helmets like you're waiting for someone to join you. Lose the straight on "Beaver Cleaver" picture.

I'm guessing a lot of people use it, but I have no numbers to back that up. Just bits and pieces of stories I've picked up along the way.

I don't use it -- other than one brief experiment just to see how it works -- because I really don't care who sees me looking. The ones who know me are fine with it, and the ones who don't, well, they never say anything anyway, so what's the difference?

But I think some people are afraid to be seen "perving"!

It's funny, though -- some months back, before we had stealth mode, there was a group of 7 or 8 who would look at my profile every single day. None of them ever posted in the forums and none of them ever emailed me. Now they're not showing up anymore, and I'm not sure if it's because they deactivated or if they're just using stealth mode now....!

LOL, that's funny. I really don't have many good pictures of me, (I don't keep pictures of MYSELF laying around,) and just shot that one for a profile pic.
