To all the lonely people....

Somewhere out there I have the hope, the dream, the desire to find you
So I keep looking, even after failures, even after it seems there is no hope
So I keep looking for my friend, my companion, my lover, my soul mate
I do not know where the faith to keep looking and dreaming comes from
Maybe I should stop, but I get so close


Most of the time I am so into the connection that I go over-board
Can't get you out of my mind every day, my thoughts are fixed on you
I wonder if this time is the one time, and then in a twinkle it is gone
What did I do, what did I say, what happened at your end?
How did the connection break, it seemed so perfect...


Then a night of tears, followed by a day or two of mourning
Then if I am lucky, a new friend appears and gives me a new hope
Then a cycle, a pattern, and right back to loneliness, will it ever stop?
It tears my heart out, but I keep walking down this road, I have faith
I can see her in the distance, I know she is there, so I keep trying


You all know what it is like, you are human, you feel these things
And you lucky folks who have finished the journey, and have found your mate
Say a prayer for us lonely folks, maybe one day we will be lucky, too
Oh, to feel her hand in mine, to smell her hair, I crave an embrace from a like-minded soul
Come to me, I bid you to come, don't be afraid, just take my hand


With you in my arms, life will be so much better
With you by my side we will both have new strength
Let's start as friends and become best buddies
Then let God dictate as we fall toward one another
I open my chest, and I call out to you... and as the leaves are falling off the trees, the winter wind is coming, I can hear my love... come quickly my love... come quickly

I agree... there are many people on here who have no intention of ever meeting up or being sincere. But to those who actually feel the loneliness... and want it to stop.....

Yup, that song ran through my mind when I saw the title. Glad ya bumped this.

I sat down and learned that song last night on my guitar. I was going to post an mp3 of my playing, but I have no idea where there is a web hosting site that does that kind of thing for free,,,

Tempting to just add a jpg to it (some way, don't know how) and just post it (and others) to YouTube... at least the audio would play
