for me personally i don't IM but i do respond to random emails- im probably the only one who does lol but this is just my opinion- im sure you will get plenty of differing ones. |

I email on here until I get to know them better, then I give them my IM. I don't use the IM on here though, leaves me wide open for the sex-maniacs to contact me.

Email first. Many people don't like being IMed. I don't mind it, but most of the time, the guy just says hi, then waits for me to keep the conversation going for him. So, it does get annoying.
