what role does sex play in your spiritual life?
even in Christianity sex is seen as metaphor. Or is that all it is? |

Sex, in my opinion, is the physical manifestation of a deep sense of passion toward someone you love. Whether that is yourself, or another, it is still born as an intense need to bring to life - through physical actions - that inner passion.
Given I believe that passion [which is different than lust] is born through having a spirtual connection with your higher power/God, which has created a strong sense of Faith... I don't think you can separate your need/desire for sex from your spirtual life. They are two very important pieces of a whole. |

i like when it is a "religious experience"
God says, sex is not "sinful" but one of the great joys in life - so make it sacred and do it with purpose and with intense feelings of love. |

Making love....says it all really.....imo, its just the physical part of love, the subconcious urge to procreate after finding the person u wanna settle with.

To me, I don't think anyone can hope to be a whole human being without having the experience of sexual bliss with another human being. I for instance would never seek advice from a priest or nun of any religious faith. Maybe I would listen and do read St. Augustine thoughts on the matter of conduct between the sexes, but only because at one point he was part of a religion that believed in orgies.
In my life, I have only felt that sensation of Nowness, Bliss, Nirvana, rapture whatever you call it while using my body. While, dancing, making love and drumming. |
