You're going about this all wrong. All you have to do is, when you're
driving into Canada, tell them you're FROM Canada and that you left to
visit a friend in the US, but now you're coming back home.

On the off chance that they ask you why your car has US plates, you just
tell them it's your friend's car and you had to borrow it because yours
BROKE DOWN during the visit, and so you had to leave yours there, but
your friend will get it fixed and drive it back to you next week, and
they will retrieve THEIR car at the same time.

That is a good story until they ask your address in canaday and your
identification number. Oh an by the way driving without a license is
against the law and what do you say to them when they ask why your
friends car is registered and insured under your name?
