Topic: Some People Are Never Happy | |
---|---|
Why is it that some people who seem to have it all just are not happy??They get whatever they want and are temporarily happy but it quickly fades.I think they are lacking something within themselves and wont allow themselves to be happy EVER.
What's your opinion??? |

Typically, they get a high from things, not people or themselves. Takes too much effort to get to know oneself, scary stuff, so they preoccupy themselves with tangible fixes, but the high doesn't last and they need more of it.

I have my theory about "Fantasy Land" some people build Fantasies around people and things. Then when REALITY does not match the fantasy they get all depressed and bummed out till the next fantasy comes along.

What's your opinion??? cuz deep down they are UN happy .. the quick fixes do just that .. quick high, fast let down. It's in yourself to learn to be grateful, appreciate life, enjoy everything God blesses you with .. it's a mindset. Some people just don't get it. And the more negative they approach life, the deeper the hole gets. (((((((((( YEA LIFE !!!! ))))))))))) |

LOl Goof for President! Muwah!
I think being unhappy is a habit. It might start out from something genuinely to be unhappy about but then it kind of takes on a familiarity that for some is just hard to let go of. Sometimes it is just feeling safer with the devil you know rather than risking something unfamiliar. To me shooting for a medium I can live with is the key. Nice to be deleriously happy occassionally but accept that is one end of a spectrum and that every day life is going to be somewhere in between. Especially in the lives most of us lead. Not like we are starving or suffering other great calamities of life everyday. |

A self deserving cycle that is hard for one to hop off... that is why many repeat the same relationships, pick the same people.... being truly happy is really looking within and weighing the materialistic toys versus the heart, the soul and your journey here... imo

Happiness is a choice. It doesn't come from things or even others. All someone else can do is add to your happiness, they can not make you happy.
Unhappiness is a choice as well, though most people don't realize this. I have a theory that when someone is unhappy it is because they are unhappy with themselves but either refuse to/or they haven't learned to look at themselves objectively to find out the source of their unhappiness, so instead they seek out quick fixes (which I believe have been mentioned), but they are just that and never last. However, if you were to look at it from a biological perspective, your brain has pathways, and certain ways of thinking causes........roadways, and once a roadway has been built is like being stuck in a "rut". Your natural state is in that rut, and you have to work to get yourself out of it, but after a while of working out of it, your brain then creates new pathways and your natural state again changes. Looking outside yourself for happiness always leads to unhappiness. |
