It's hard to believe that Christmas will be here in 48 days. I have already felt in the Christmas Spirit for the last week or so. Tonight i've been listening to Christmas Music and I was wondering what everyones favorite Christmas song is?? Although I am not religious I do love the religous Christmas songs I sang as a child. It brings so many good memories back to me. My favorite traditional Christmas song is The First Noel and a new favorite is Believe by Josh Groban. |

I love the Trans Siberian Orchestra aswell...
I just thought of another Christmas song that always makes me feel a little weepy and sentimental .... I'll Be Home for Christmas especially when Micheal Buble sings it. |

First of all, I'd like to commend you for using the word CHRISTmas, not "xmas".
Secondly, I was considering making a thread like this, but I thought it was too early yet. To answer the question, it's really a little too subjective for me, as I really enjoy virtually all Christmas music. There is one song that really gives me the warm fuzzys, a rendition of "The Christmas Song" (a.k.a "Chestnuts Roasting") by a group called The Hollyridge Strings, circa mid- to late-1960's. All one has to do is close their eyes and imagine, and this particular version gives me great visions of what Christmas should really be, and of the Christmases of yesteryear. Sappy, I know, but what the hell. Incidentally, I will be going to see TSO for the third time on December 10 in Green Bay. |

Damn, the thread killer strikes again.

I love Christmas music. But I work at Walmart, and that's all I hear ALL DAY LONG!!!!!
I hate to say it, but it's really making me lose my appreciation for it by being forced to listen to it ALL DAY LONG!!!! |

I agree with a previous post.
The Christmas Song by Nat King Cole is the best Christmas song ever. It takes me to a very nice place. |

Just a bit of useless trivia for no particular reason:
One of the best-loved Christmas records of all time, "Elvis' Christmas Album", turns 51 years old this year. That's right, it was originally released in 1957. Hard to believe it's been that long already. |

Silent Night.....there is this version by Enya in Gaelic that is really nice.
I love most all Christmas music though. |

Silent Night and Away In A Manger have always been my favorites, but man, I just feel the spirit when I hear John Berry sing Oh Holy Night. It sounds awesome. |

I don't think there IS a bad version of "O Holy Night".
Probably one of my favorite reditions is a medley of "O Come All Ye Faithful/O Holy Night" by the Trans-Siberian Orchestra. I love the way they do the transistion between the two songs. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=G7_E-buo_g8&feature=related |
