I can see keeping the patriot act in place, however I want to see it revamped to where it does stuff that the national guard does not already do (or should be doing at any rate).
For example, Have the FBI turn over all cases, etc that involve terrorism, or a threat to security from outside the united states, and let them (the fbi) deal only with non-international issues, like kidnapping, shootings, etc. GET OUR MEN/WOMEN HOME FROM IRAQ!!
