He has been going downhill and fast. Can't even stand anymore, barely eating, etc. They are doing tests, but the ultrasound to check for sure isn't until next week. I am running on empty these days.

His sister died of pancreas cancer in February, his mother died of the same when he was 12, another sister of ductal cancer years ago, his brother of colon cancer years ago. His liver is pushing on his ribs and causing him pain so I suspect it is his pancreas or maybe liver.

I have taken care of him since 2003 and guess this is the "final episode" but guess I am feeling a little lost. Thanks again for your support.

My father was diagnosed then passed away in three weeks. We gathered our strength in knowing that he didn't suffer for a long time. I hope you can find strength in places where you least expect it.

Im really really sorry to hear this... I just found out one of my friends is going to have surgery to see if her stomach has cancer in it as strange things have been happening for her too. She beat breast cancer 20yrs ago give or take so ..

Coffee - so sorry about your friend. I will keep you and your friend in my thoughts and prayers. So awful for her after beating breast cancer already, too.

Maggie - I am sorry about your father, but I am also hoping that if he is diagnosed, he does go fast and doesn't suffer. Either way, something serious is going on. He appears to have just given up, so either way, I have the feeling he has made up his mind.
